Catalysts are substances that make chemical reactions happen faster than they would otherwise. Without catalysts, these reactions take too long to complete (sometimes, as long as billions of years).
How do catalysts work? They lower the activation energy – the amount of energy (effort) needed for the reaction to occur.
The spiritual path also involves many transformational reactions. Like cooling down anger to release forgiveness, decomposing greed into contentment, converting attachments to love. Without a spiritual Catalyst, these transformations could take billions and billions of lifetimes to even begin.
Yes, good things take time. Pure things take slightly longer. But they should not take an eternity.
Seek the Catalyst.
