One day, a man visited a store to buy a suit for a relative’s wedding. He found a beautiful suit, put it on, and felt happy as everyone around admired him.
It didn’t take the man long to realise that the suit was uncomfortable and quite expensive. Yet, he was finding it difficult to fight the lure to buy it. So what if it was a little uncomfortable? It made him look so good!
Observing his dilemma, an elderly person approached him and gently asked, “Son, are you trying to buy the suit, or is the suit trying to buy you?” Jolted by this question, the man left the suit behind and moved on.
In this world’s dazzling store, which is your favourite suit? The one that attracts praise and approval from others, or the one that enhances your joy and peace? The one that makes you “look” good, or the one that’s the right fit for you?
