In the beginning of time,
There were no two, only One Sublime.
The drop did not have a separate presence,
For it was one with the Ocean’s existence.
But then the Leela started,
And the drop soon departed.
“Some time apart won’t be so bad”, thought the drop,
If only someone had warned it to stop..!
Thus began a cycle of misery,
Anything worse is not known in all of history.
“What is this place, so hot and burning..?!”, the drop screamed;
It had reached the desert of life, it seemed.
The drop’s quest for water began,
But things did not go according to plan.
Any sign of water in this land of seclusion,
Would quickly turn out to be merely an illusion.
A long, long time passed away like this,
And the drop’s memory began to go amiss.
Forgetting all about the endless Ocean,
Suffering became its only notion.
The cacophony of its helpless screams,
Was scarier than your scariest dreams.
No matter how much it howled in pain,
All its cries seemed to be in vain…
But what the drop did not seem to know,
Was that the Ocean was always at a stone’s throw.
Yes, the drop was lying on the Ocean’s shore,
And it only needed to turn towards its mighty roar.
When the drop turned in the right direction,
The Ocean churned to remove all separation;
For it had also waited for the drop all along,
Always knowing where it truly belonged.
All that the drop wanted was to end its suffering,
But all that the Ocean had was Love unending.
It knows nothing about sorrow or misery;
How can they exist in its blissful infinity?
When the union happened at long last,
The drop finally remembered its existence so vast.
In an instant it forgot every bit of pain,
And pledged never to leave the Kingdom of Love again.

Wow so so so so beautiful. Sri Guru that’s what you have talked about that not only us but even the divine is waiting for us. It’s only this worldly pleasure or more likely veil that has distracted us from the union with the divine and we have been distracted for so many times so many lives. But as we change our direction our thought towards ourself the divine is just waiting in that direction in an avatar of a Sadguru who then carve the path for the divine union.
