Dharana (धारणा), Dhyana (ध्यान), and Samadhi (समाधि) are the last three and the most important elements of Maharishi Patanjali’s Ashtang Yog. They are collectively referred to as Saniyam (संयम) in Vibhutipada (विभूतिपाद), the third chapter of the Patanjali Yog Sutras.
