Spirituality is the path to experience what lies at the core of every individual. Owing to their true nature, each person tries to find solace in religious activities (or spiritual tools) that are designed to bring us closer to our Self. Unfortunately, the vast majority of the population direct this quest in the wrong direction, without being familiar with the know-hows of the path. The bigger misfortune is that they believe it is the right path. Shrimadji sums up this population intoy 2 categories – ‘Jad-kriyavadi’ (performing rituals mindlessly) and ‘Shushk-gyaani’ (gathering arid knowledge). As a result, the spiritual tools that were meant to unfold purity and bliss within, are by no means proving to be most efficient. In fact, at times they cause disutility to those around.
Every activity of ours requires careful introspection of the thought and intent behind it. In Episode#4, Sri Guru provides a few checkpoints for us to ensure that our activities don’t stem out of Jad-kriyavad or Shushk-gyaan. Through this subtle interpretation of Shrimadji’s verses, understand how crucial it is for a seeker to contemplate every step he takes.
