Stress was having a usual chaotic start to the day. He was busy rummaging through the meeting invites and tasks scheduled for the day, pondering over the countless ways each one of them could go wrong.
But suddenly, someone tapped on his shoulder, jolting him out of his mindless hustle…
Stress: “Seriously, Peace..? On this Monday morning? To-do list is miles long, coffee pot is on the loop, and did I mention about the existential dread..?”
Peace: “My dear Stress, you are everywhere these days. From tax season to seasoned relationships, from morning exercise to prayers, from breakfast table to traffic jams. You seem to think you are in charge of everyone’s life?”
Stress: “Well, of course I am! This world runs on deadlines and anxiety!”
Peace: “Honey! This world also runs on good sleep and quiet naps. You may cause chaos, but I bring the calm that allows people to actually deal with it. Besides, a right meditation technique can solve more problems than a triple espresso ever could.”
Stress: “Oh really? Show me this ‘meditation technique’ you speak of. But make it quick, I have places to be!”
Peace: “Relax, close your eyes, take some deep breaths, and then you’ll see…”
Peace (thinking): “…if you manage to survive, that is!”
